Although I have to admit, I did pick it up and flip through it. Curiosity overcame me, what can I say? Here is what Luke had to say about this book: This book is a great way to learn how to affirm your wife. I knew I could do a better job of speaking words of affirmation and this book has helped me recognize opportunities to genuinely and sincerely affirm my wife. Each entry is fairly short (one to two pages) and makes for quick and easy reading (similar to the companion book 100 Ways to Love Your Wife). If you don’t have a lot of time in your life for reading, I suggest reading just one a day. Recommend? He recommends it for any engaged or married men Cheers, Rebecca Revell Reads sent me this complimentary copy to review for them. All opinions expressed are my own.

100 Words of Affirmation Your Husband Needs To Hear By: Lisa Jacobson Genre: Marriage, Nonfiction Publisher: Revell Publication Year: 2019 Series: Stand Alone My Rating: 4 of 5 stars Synopsis:

To learn more about Lisa, click here My Thoughts: So this book is set up like the "100 ways to Love your Husband" book. There are 100 different ideas on how to affirm your husband. Some of them did not apply to me (i.e. the one about being a great dad to our daughter - we don't have any girls), so there were only 99 ideas for me. Also, Lisa does not offer as many life stories in this book as she did in the "100 ways to Love..." book, which is one of the aspects I really enjoyed. Words of affirmation is not one of my top love languages and it actually isn't one of my husbands either, but this gave me ideas on how to affirm him and love him better and appreciate all he does. This book nudged me to look at our life and see how amazing my husband is and all he does. Sometimes life can become a rut and it can be hard to recognize or appreciate what your spouse is doing, this book gives you ways to recognize and appreciate what they are doing. Just don't forget to tell them :) Recommend? Yes. I recommend this for engaged couples and couples who have been married for 6 months or 50 years. I also recommend "100 ways to love your Husband" and "100 ways to love your Wife" You can find my reviews of them here: Husband --- Wife Cheers, Rebecca Revell Reads sent me this complimentary copy to review for them. She Prays By: Debbie Lindell Genre: Christian Living, Devotional, Nonfiction Publisher: Revell Publication Year: 2019 Series: Stand Alone My Rating: 4 of 5 stars Synopsis:
God wants us to know him so well that we are comfortable talking to him about anything and everything. Yet there are times when we feel disconnected and insecure. We desire to grow in prayer, but we don't know where to begin, what to say, or how to listen for his voice. In She Prays, Debbie Lindell invites you on a thirty-one-day journey to experience a confident and conversational relationship with your heavenly Father. She shows you how to replace the pressure to perform in prayer with a faith-filled expectation - trusting that God is delighted with every conversation and every word we whisper to him. Her desire is that your soul will be transformed as your confidence in prayer grows, and that your faith will be strengthened as you see God work through your prayers in ways you never imagined possible. ~Taken from the back of the book. To find out more about Debbie, click here My Thoughts: This 31 day prayer devotional is divided into four sections - - Understanding - Knowledge - Trust - Power Through each section the reader learns something new each day about God and prayer. This book teaches that God just wants to hear from his children. Your prayers don't have to be some eloquent hour long ordeal, they can be simple, jumbled, or just a heart cry. The goal is to be in God's presence. Debbie presents each chapter in an easy to read format with space at the end to reflect and a prompt on what to pray for that day. Recommend? If you are looking to gain more confidence with your prayers, how to start or even more knowledge about prayer, I would recommend this book to you.
